Terms
The rules for using Favo, in plain words. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. About Favo and these terms
Favo is a service of Ivar Middelveld (trading as WEBR), KvK 83478884, VAT NL003825712B76, Kraloërweg 12, 7935 AA Eursinge, the Netherlands ("Favo", "we", "us"). With Favo you share a video or post from apps like TikTok and Instagram, and Favo finds the product, place or recipe in it and keeps it for you.
These terms apply to the Favo iPhone app, its share extension and the Favo web app. The iPhone app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement; these terms add the rules for the Favo service. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy policy.
2. Your account
- You must be 13 or older to use Favo. If you are under 16, you need permission from a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you buy Favo+.
- You sign in with Apple, with Google or with a code we email you. Keep your sign-in safe and do not share codes with anyone.
- Use an account only for yourself. Tell us right away at ivar@favo.so if you think someone else is using it.
3. Free and Favo+
Free: you can save every video you like and keep your saves, places and recipes organised in Favo.
Favo+: Favo finds what is in your saves: the products, the places and the recipes. Without Favo+, a shared video is saved with its link, image and caption, but not searched.
To keep Favo fast and fair for everyone, we may set reasonable limits on how many finds can be made per day or week. Normal use stays well within them.
4. Subscription, trial and cancelling
- Plans. Favo+ yearly costs € 44,99 a year, with a free trial of 7 days for new subscribers. Favo+ monthly costs € 9,99 a month. Prices include VAT and can differ per country; the App Store always shows your price before you confirm.
- One-time offer. When you first set up Favo, you may see a one-time offer: Favo+ yearly with the first year for € 29,99, paid up front, then € 44,99 a year. This offer has no free trial and is shown at most once.
- Payment. You buy Favo+ through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase or, with a trial, when the trial ends.
- Automatic renewal. Favo+ renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Trial. If you cancel at least 24 hours before your 7-day trial ends, you pay nothing. Favo reminds you before the trial ends if you allow notifications. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Cancelling. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Favo. You keep Favo+ until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your Favo account does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds. Apple handles payments and refunds. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including any right of withdrawal, are handled by Apple under its terms.
- New phone or reinstall. Sign in with the same Favo account, open Settings (the profile icon at the top right of Saved) and tap Restore purchases.
- Price changes. If the price of Favo+ changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law requires it, asks for your agreement before you pay the new price.
5. What a result means
Favo uses automated analysis and public information about a post. It says Same item only when a code, a link or other evidence proves the match. Otherwise it shows it as a close match, such as Looks like, and shows the closest match it found. Sometimes it cannot find anything.
Check the details with the shop or place itself before you act: size, colour, price, stock, opening hours and address can change. A price in Favo is read from the shop's public product page at a certain moment and is not updated automatically. The price on the shop's own page when you buy is the one that counts. Recipes and workouts come from the creator; check ingredients and whether they suit you. Favo does not give medical, legal or financial advice.
6. Shops and other apps
Favo is independent. TikTok, Instagram, Apple, Google and the shops and places we show are not our partners or sponsors unless we say so.
When you buy something through a link in Favo, you buy it from that shop. The shop is responsible for its offer, payment, delivery, returns and guarantees, and your consumer rights apply towards the shop. Some links may be affiliate links, which means we can earn a commission from the shop. That never changes the price you pay, and it does not decide which results Favo shows.
A post or link can disappear when a creator deletes it or a platform changes access. Favo does not get around private accounts or paywalls.
7. Content and rights
Only share links and material you are allowed to use. Your saves and notes remain yours. You allow Favo to process, copy and show them only as needed to provide the service you ask for, and only for as long as our Privacy policy says. This is not a licence to use your material in advertising.
Videos, photos, comments and product images belong to their creators and owners. Favo shows them to help you find what is in a post, links back to the source, and does not claim ownership.
Is your content in Favo and do you want it removed? Email ivar@favo.so with the link, your contact details and what you want removed. Removal is our default answer. For shop and brand images used to recognise products, we remove the data for that product or shop within 24 hours. Shops and brands can also opt out at favo.so/bot.
8. What is not allowed
- Breaking the law with Favo or using it to infringe someone else's rights.
- Sharing material that is illegal, or private details of other people without a valid reason.
- Getting around security or limits, taking over accounts, or accessing data that is not yours.
- Scraping, copying or reselling Favo or its results, or overloading it with automated use.
- Copying, changing or reverse engineering the Favo app, except where the law allows it.
9. Stopping and suspension
You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app: open Settings (the profile icon at the top right of Saved) and tap Delete account. Our Privacy policy explains what happens to your data.
If someone seriously misuses Favo, creates a security risk or if the law requires it, we may limit use, remove material or close an account. We choose a fitting measure, tell you why unless the law or security does not allow it, and give you a chance to fix a problem where possible. You can ask us to review the decision at ivar@favo.so.
10. Changes to Favo and these terms
We keep improving Favo, so features can change and there can be short interruptions. Platforms and suppliers we depend on can also change. If we change these terms, we update the date at the top and tell you in advance about important changes. If you do not agree, you can stop using Favo and delete your account. If we ever stop Favo, we tell you in advance where possible and give you time to export your saves.
11. Liability
We do our best to make Favo work well, but we cannot promise that every post can be read or every item found. We are not responsible for what shops, creators or platforms do. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer or our liability where the law does not allow that to be limited.
12. Law and complaints
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country, and you can go to the court the law allows you to use. Send complaints to ivar@favo.so. We confirm receipt and give a full answer within 14 days, or tell you why we need longer.
If a part of these terms is not valid, the rest still applies.
